How do I identify my BMW X1 year and series?

Read the production date on the BMW X1 vehicle information label, then confirm the VIN through the lower windscreen. Match those details to U11, F48 or E84.

For a 2015 X1, the F48 has a taller SUV stance, a blunter nose and a shorter-looking bonnet. The E84 sits lower and looks more like a raised wagon, with a longer bonnet. This visual check is useful because their blade sets and front connectors differ.

How to install front wiper blades for the BMW X1?

With the U11 arm supported, press the release in the narrow flat connector and withdraw the used blade. Offer the replacement to the open end of the connector, guide it inward and stop when its button appears in the locking hole. Check the catch before easing the arm down.

How do I install the rear wiper blade on a BMW X1?

U11 uses a slide-in tongue whose upturned hook catches inside the adaptor. F48 has a straight slide-on tongue, while E84 uses a hooked flat-arm rear connector. Copy the removed blade's orientation and keep the arm under control during each change.
