How do I identify my Kia Carnival year and series?

Find the Kia Carnival certification label on the driver-side centre pillar and read the manufacture date and VIN. Match the date and series code to the following choices:

2020 - 2026 (KA4)
2014 - 2020 (YP)
2006 - 2011 (VQ)
1999 - 2006 (KV)

KA4 has the SUV-like nose and concealed sliding-door track. YP is the rounder preceding model. A 2020 vehicle can fall on either side of the change, so use the manufacture date and VIN rather than its registration year.

What is the length of the Kia Carnival wiper blades?

Carnival blade lengths are:

KA4: 26 inches (650mm) driver, 20 inches (500mm) passenger and 12 inches (300mm) rear
YP: 26 inches (650mm) driver and 18 inches (450mm) passenger
VQ: 26 inches (650mm), 18 inches (450mm), rear 16 inches (400mm)
KV: 24 inches (600mm) on both fronts, rear 16 inches (400mm)

How to install front wiper blades for the Kia Carnival?

Raise the Carnival arm, tip the blade across it and open the centre adaptor. Hold down the release and run the old blade along the metal arm. When the connector reaches the wider opening, bring the curved end through.

Put the hook into the new fitting, pull the blade upwards until it clicks and close the cap. Check the joint before repeating on the other side.

How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Kia Carnival?

Carnival rear fitment changes by series. KA4 uses a hook-and-socket blade: rotate it away from the glass and snap the centre socket off the hook. VQ uses a fork snap-clip, while KV uses a J-hook. Fit the replacement through the matching connection and verify free movement.

What connector type does the Kia Carnival use?

Front blades attach by J-hook on KA4, YP, VQ and KV Kia Carnival models. The rear connection changes between generations.

Did Kia Carnival wiper blade sizes change between generations?
