How do I identify my Honda Civic year and series?

Confirm whether the Honda Civic is a Hatch, Sedan or Coupe. The Civic certification label around the driver's doorway gives the manufacture date.

For a 2021 car, the Hatch can be FL / 11th Generation or FK / 10th Generation, while the Sedan choice is FC / 10th Generation. FL has a cleaner, more upright nose; the 10th Generation body is lower and more angular. Around 2016, the Hatch uses FK / 9th Generation and the Sedan may be FB / 9th Generation or FC / 10th Generation. Use body style with the VIN before choosing the code.

How to install front wiper blades for the Honda Civic?

Put an FL Civic into its raised wiper position before touching the narrow push-button fittings. Protect the glass, depress the button and pull the blade along the flat arm to remove it. Line the replacement channel up with the arm, slide down until it snaps into place, then pull against the lock and return the wipers only after both arms are back on the windscreen.

How do I install the rear wiper blade on a Honda Civic?

Rear joints differ across Civic Hatches. FL uses a slide-on tongue that runs into a moulded channel; EU uses a fork snap-clip that presses into its retaining ledge. FK, EK, EG/EH and ED rear fittings use small J-hooks, so release the blade at the hook and pull the replacement into the curve until it catches.

What connector type does the Honda Civic use?

Civic front connectors are series-specific. FL uses a narrow push button, FN/FK 8th-generation Hatch uses a claw connector, and the remaining Civic series use J-hooks.
